ABOUT "ROBATA-YAKI"

Robata-Yaki is a traditional Japanese grilling style that originated from families gathering around a sunken hearth, where "robata" means "around the hearth" and "yaki" means "grilling." It started in Sendai with vegetable grilling and in Kushiro, Hokkaido, with seafood grilling. This method, known for its fresh ingredients and healthy, oil-reducing open-flame cooking, has spread across Japan and now to New York.
